We are so proud of the 2018 IRES cohort for finishing up an amazing field season! As they move on with their travels around Australia, Margaux Armfield (a Junior at Tulane University) thought it would be great to put together this amazing art gallery of the talented IRES students’ work throughout the field season.
“Several of the students in this year’s cohort have been inspired by the beautiful birds and landscapes around them. Drawing is a great way to unwind after a long day in the field, and it can also be a tool to remember new species and learn their features. Below are some of the splendid creations of IRES students.” – Margaux Armfield
Phoebe uses colored pencils to draw a Superb Fairywren.
Kai sketches some of the new species he has seen in Australia this summer.
Nathalie keeps a journal with her when she travels so she can sketch on the go!
